Jamal Musiala, Bayern Munich’s star player, opens up about his happiness at signing a new contract and vows to lead the team to chase as many trophies as possible.

Musiala has decided to commit his long-term future to the Allianz Arena by signing a new contract until the summer of 2030.

“For me now, it’s about moving forward every year, achieving more success with the team, and growing together. I feel like we can achieve a lot.”

Musiala’s new deal makes him the club’s highest-paid player on €25m a year, with a €20m signing-on bonus also in the works.

The new deal also includes a €175m release clause that runs until the summer of 2029, dropping to €100m in the final year of the deal.

After locking up Alphonso Davies a couple weeks ago, Bayern also want to secure a deal with Joshua Kimmich in the near future. Once the summer hits, the club will look to improve the roster with younger but more affordable players.
