Takefusa Kubo makes it clear that playing at the highest level of football is more important than a big salary after rejecting an offer from Saudi Arabia

Real Sociedad midfielder Takefusa Kubo, 23, confirmed to L’Equipe on Friday that he has no interest in leaving Europe to join the Saudi Arabian league, despite the lure of a big salary.

“I like good football, not expensive football. What interests me most since I was a kid is playing against the best teams, playing against the best teams,” Kubo said. “If one day in the future Saudi Arabia becomes the best league in the world in terms of sporting performance, then I might go. But right now, it’s only attractive in terms of finance.”

‘I have to be in the คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย top league. That’s my dream, not the money. Otherwise, I would have been there.’

Kubo’s comments within the context of a potential bid coming in from the Saudi Pro League for Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid.

The Brazil international is rumour to be frustrate by the offers put forward so far in the Spanish capital as talks over an extension continue.

Los Blancos will set a salary scale over a possible wage increase, which will not be broke for him, and the Saudi Pro League are open to making him the highest-paid player in the world.

Previously, a Saudi Arabian club had offered Kubo a deal worth €160 million for a four-year contract with an average salary of €40 million per season, but the 23-year-old midfielder rejected the offer.
